The 1781-dated North America token is believed to have been struck in Ireland, circa 1810 to 1820. Walter Breen attributes dies and striking to William Mossop Jr. of Dublin. Likely, these circulated extensively in what is now Canada, as they bear a resemblance to Canadian tokens of that era.
