17th Century Oil Painting on Copper Panel

Title- \"The Crucifixion\"

A very old painting, the oil having been painted on a hand beaten copper panel. Showing signs of great age, the oil depicts the crucifixion of Christ. Most probably Northern European- perhaps Flemish or German in origin. Sadly re-listed due to a non paying buyer- please only offer if you are serious about owning this antique oil painting.

Age- 17th Century

Size- 10.5 by 8.5 inches approx (265 x 215 mm) including frame, panel 8.5 by 6.75 inches approx.

Medium- Oils on copper panel

Frame- Old wooden frame, some knocks, offered free with the painting.

Condition- Somewhat dark and a little dirty, may benefit from a gentle clean. Some thinner paint areas and some spots of missing paint. Uneven panel surface with some creases visible.

Signature- Unsigned.
