18.5 inch Kamkins cloth doll Atlantic City NJ 1920s Original mohair wig Dressed Description18-1/2\" Kamkins cloth doll designed by Louise R. Kampes. The dolls were made in her studio in Atlantic City New Jersey 1919-1928. The heart paper label were printed with KAMKINS, A dolly made to Love, patented, From L.R. Kampes Studios, Atlantic City, N.J..
This charming doll has the molded mask face with hand painted features, soft mohair wig with no thinning of wig, firm cloth body and limbs. Head swivels, arms and legs are attached. The outline from the missing heart label shows on her chest.
Clothes may be original but certainly of that her era. The velveteen coat and hat, printed cotton dress, slip, panty and vintage shoes are all typical styles worn by Kamkins dolls.
Legs and some parts of the cloth body has surface stains and patching in the fabric and fingers have some wear.
A wonderful American made artist doll to add to your collection.
