Description 18" Vintage circa 1920's Czech Bohemian necklace with unique yellow, pink, coral and red, round and rondelle, Prosser trade molded glass beads.This 72 bead necklace was originally made for export to Africa. The beads have larger holes than normal.
This necklace is a wonderful example of classic Bohemian costume jewelry; it is unique and aesthetically striking.
A great vintage necklace for any occasion, for jewelry components or as a part of a collection.

"Prosser" beads are by extension any beads made by the "Prosser" technique, invented by the Prosser brothers in 1840 in England for the purpose of making buttons. The process consists of molding a cold paste under great pressure and then firing it. The finished product looks like porcelain and is often referred to as such.
Made in the famous Gablonz area of Czech, this design symbolises the skill and artistic talent of 20th century Czech glass makers.
