1800’sAntique rare unique LIMOGES DEMITASSE TEA CUP & SAUCER -- French

This is abeautiful antique demitasse tea cup and saucer from the 1870/80’s. Thecream-colored set features an enameled and gold gilt leaf and flower pattern (whichis raised). There is gold trim around the top and bottom edges and on thehandle. The cup is an irregular shape design—it looks likes it has been a bitsquished in around the sides. Inaddition, the saucer shape is not perfectly round. (See the photos.) The clearred Limoges logo with ELITE and FRANCE are on the bottom of both the cup andthe saucer. Saucer measures about 4¼” across. Cup measures 2” tall.

The set isin very good condition for its age. There are no chips. There is a thin crackon the inside of the cup coming down from the top and a little bit ofdiscoloration in spots. There is some slight crazing on the base of the saucer. Please be sure to enlarge the photos for more detailand don\'t hesitate to ask questions.
