This wall box or candle box dates fromthe early to mid 1800\'s. It is a lovely form - it has a nicely shaped, tall back, and a slightly canted front. It retains its early forest green paint. The box will also sit squarely on a table. 9 3/4\" tall to the top of the back, 4 1/2\" to the top of the front, 13 1/2\" wide, 6\" deep. There are visible hand planing marks. The front edge is rounded and smooth. Square nail construction. Very good antique condition - solid and tight. The form of this box is exceptional.
