1800’s grinding wheel Flour Mill Stone dressing blade pick vintage hand made old:

This was blacksmith made and it shows its wear nicely.

*These hammers were used to fix or deepen the grooves in a mill stone in the 1800’s and earlier.

*This mill stone dressing hammer is in good condition.

*The blade has a few nicks.

* The head was made from an old rasp file giveing it theappearance of having scales.

*It was hand hammered into this tool by a blacksmith.

* The handle hole was split into the head while red hot.

*Early tools often were made from files since they had great iron in them.

*You can still see the blacksmiths hammer marks in the iron from when it was made.

*The handle appears to have been on this tool for quite a few years. A hickory handle doesn\'t get that smooth and shiney with out many hours of use.

*The handle is a little bit loose and wiggles a little.

*The head is 9 7/8\" long and 1 1/8\" wide. The handle is 10 1/8\" long.
