This sale is for 3 incredible early mother of pearl sewing items. These really appear to be ancient. I would date them early 1800s and maybe even earlier. The whole piece is pearl, not just the handle. Each measures about 4 inches long. The piece with the metal in the center has a hole which could have been a stanhope? This tool has a tiny ball on the tip...not sure what that piece was for. The crochet hook does have a crack in it (see photo 2). All are in such good condition except for the crack in the crochet hook. Some brown discoloration, which I believe would have been original to the mother of pearl. I have never had these before, nor can I find ones like this, so please check photos and feel free to ask any questions.
