Gorgeous antique pieces, MORE than gorgeous really, high relief very antique Chemical (GUIPURE) lace making this antique lace jabot and cuffs what you\'re looking for! Whether it\'s for that Civil War reenactment costume, to complete that matching hat and gown for your antique French doll or trim that incredible boudoir pillow you\'re designing, you will agree the lace in this set is outstanding! From my personal collection, this set is an item that I purchased in France on my one trip to Europe in 1994. I stayed only as long as my money lasted which wasn\'t as long as I would have liked! Like so much of what I\'m selling on , this has been stored away for ME to use SOMEDAY! You can see it\'s a lightweight item. To bring back an item to the US, it had to be light as a feather. I\'m thankful for my experience, sad that I\'m most likely never going to have the opportunity again. I love antique lace so much but now it\'s YOUR TURN to own this. I\'m retired, I\'ve downsized, using this someday doesn\'t seem likely anymore. This three piece set is Antique and Lovely! Gorgeous! It\'s exquisite! This lace is definitely a TEN on a scale indicating beauty. Not only beauty but it\'s something you\'ll treasure as much as I have. The lace will be tasteful and elegant on whatever you choose to do with it. MEASUREMENTS : The three pieces are all gorgeous around the outside edges. The tiny, delicate 1/4\" band of lace edging these pieces are unbelievably lovely? If you\'re dressing and antique doll, you could not find anything better! The jabot is approx 11\" by 12\". The cuffs are 3 1/4\" wide by 15\" long. They are so lovely, they would be beautiful framed as part of a design under glass. Impeccably made, these lovely handmade pieces are of a design reflecting the romance found in the European style that was a brief revival of an earlier Romantic period. I\'ve always been a purist when it comes to re-purposing fine antique textiles, but I\'m suggesting that you should repurpose this. Why? To repurpose this set would serve to preserve it. The lace is not a current style to use as it was originally intended, lace jabots are rarely seen outside of reenactment costumes. But lovely antique lace is timeless, these exquisite pieces will be gorgeous whatever its future use. I\'ve seen some breathtaking boudoir pillows decorated with a Mixed Lace design. These pieces are a fine, delicate example of antique chemical lace, the 1890\'s was its heyday. This is one of the loveliest, small antique lace items I\'ve ever owned. Stored by me carefully since my purchase. I\'ve never used or displayed the set. It was enough to know I had it stored nearby. CONDITION: overall, this is in excellent antique condition. No age or storage marks that would mar these forever. No foxing! No holes, tops, pulls or any flaws or damage. Please expand and review all the photographs to see detail. My home is 100% smoke free.
