We\'re pleased to offer for sale this PrimitiveAntiqueLarge Wooden Firkin with Lidin Blue Paint. Thisfirkinis staved and has three wooden finger lapped bands. It has a bentwood swinging handle attached with mushroom cap pegs.This firkindates to the late 1800\'s. The blue paint isn\'t old but is painted, aged, oxidized and looks authentic. The lid sits on top of the firkin, looks original to the piece and it has a lot of character and patina. This measures 14 3/8\" tall without the handle x15 3/4\" in diameter at the base tapering to 14 1/2\" in diameter at the top.
