Beautiful very clean English made by W R Bullingford of London, Serial no.8858 pair case verge fusee. Matching Solid sterling silver pair case is Silver hall marked (A) 1824 Birmingham assay. Beautiful white colored porcelain dial with sharp solid Gold hands. Dial has one very light hair line running thru the center and a few tiny edge flakes, truly undistracting. Nice clean high domed Bulls eye crystal. All case covers open, close and fit perfectly together. The inner case has a nice functioning access hole cover for the key winding. The front crystal cover hidge is missing on one side but the cover still functions nicely opening and closing nice and tight. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. Balance has real nice beautiful motion. The balance bridge has unique and amazingly ornate scroll work as does the right side plate. The movement is nice and clean with blue screws. Pocket watch is regulated by a right side disk and left side arrow index. The watch measures approx. 56mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs real nice and keeps great fusee time, last checked about +/- 2 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position........ But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale . These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 190 years ago. Multiple Bullingford\'s of London listed in the watch and clock makers of the world book. There are some old news papers inside the case. Watch comes with a key for winding. Note all of my pocket watches have been serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition.
