Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin, later Baroness Dudevant, 1804 – 1876, best known by her pseudonym George Sand, was a French novelist and memoirist. Sand\'s unorthodox life and loves may have provoked attention, but her literary works and admirers, including Flaubert, Proust and Blazac,speak for themselves.

CONDITION

In a half calf and marbled paper binding. Externally, lightly rubbed, with sunning. There is loss to the tail of the spine and lower front board of volume one, with the joint just starting. Internally, firmly bound, with foxing. Overall: VERY GOOD.
