This is an original rare antique map drawn and engraved from The Society for The Diffusion of Useful Knowledge, commonly known as S.D.U.K., published in London, 1844.
The map measures approximately 41 cm x 64 cm or 16” x 25”. The map is hand coloured in outline. It is printed on one side only and is perfect for framing. This is an original antique, 173 years old.
The Society for The Diffusion of Useful Knowledge started selling maps in the late 1820\'s and produced them every year so that people could gradually collect them In 1844 they were all put together in one atlas. The maps were produced up until the 1870\'s. The level of detail was excellent.
