Offering an antique (1844) extremely rare,First Edition \"Santa Fe Expedition-Volume II\" book by George Wilkins Kendall. The first edition was comprised of two volumes (this is volume II) and tells the accounting of the ill-fated Santa Fe Expedition after being captured. Volume II details the expedition after they were captured by the Mexicans and accounts for all the hardships they were forced to encounter. Very detailed by Kendall whowas a member of the expedition and recorded the events daily as they happened. The book measures 5 1/2 X 8 X 1 1/4 inches and contains all original 406 pages. The binding and hard covers may have been replaced (not sure)and the labels on the spine of the book are not original. The pages are all original, have ageing and some minor stain, but no missing, stuck or torn pages. All pages are completely legible and to be 174 years old, book is in amazing condition.
