Offered is a wonderful and rare old book entitled The Masonic Guide, containing elucidations of the fundamental principles of all the degrees of the symbolic lodge, chapter, encampment consistory and the supreme grand council, arranged in accordance with the work and lecturing. Also a complete classification of the various rites to which the Egyptian, Scottish, French, Ancient and Modern York, compiled from apprised writers with emendations, additions, notes, charges, remarks, songs etc etc arranged and adapted by Robert Macoy. Published by Clark Austin & Smith, NY 1854. 360 pages + hard bound cover, illustrated throughout.
Good overall for age. Some cover soiling and wear, including edges and corners. Spine frayed at head and tail. Good binding, inscription in pencil and ink, 2 blank leaves in front. Some text foxing, heavier on some pages, a bit musty smelling. It measures 5 5/8\"w x 7 7/8\"h x 1 1/4\". A nice find.
