THIS IS A SOUVENIR OF THE 1860 MORMON GOLD COIN

24 K GOLD-PLATED.

MEASURES 1 INCH IN DIAMETER.

The 1860 $5.00 gold coin is the most beautiful. It has a lion on the front with the 1860 date and the lettering around the edge in the Deseret alphabet, \"Holiness to the Lord\". On the reverse is \"Deseret Assay Office 5.D.\" and a beautiful eagle with the beehive (Utah state symbol of industry).

Mint condition.

The original was made in Salt Lake City, Utah and authorized by Brigham Young, prophet of the LDS Church.

Most of the real Mormon gold coins were melted down within a few years.
