Letter comprised of four pages written on December 3, 1860 approximately one month after the election of Abraham Lincolnto be President. The writer indicates how times look gloomy with the election of Abraham Lincoln and why. The letter also includes other political commentary regarding secession of the Southern States and Abolitionists.

The letter which is in good over-all condition with typical fold creases and a 1.75\" tear on the upper edge of one page is written using ink on a sheet of folded paper measuring approximately 14.75\"w (sheet dimensions) x 12\"h.
