Please check back often as I am listing a wide variety ofantiquarian books.This book\" A New Southern History of The War of The Confederates.\"is a rare, 1st edition book published in 1866. \"The Lost Cause\" is a famous and highly collected book about the Civil War from the seccesionist point of view.
The book is in good condition with blind stamped boards with gilt CSA emblem on the front cover and spine. The binding and hinges are good. All illustrations have their original cover tissues. The pages are bright. Also, no pages are torn or missing. The original owner\'s name is written on the inside front cover.The book is over 150 years old and has some foxing, which is captured by the tissue overlays covering the illustrations.Some of theedges of the outside cover show aging.
