American Watch Co. Waltham Mass. 18s, 11 jewel, model 1857 P.S. Bartlett pocket watch in very good vintage condition. Serial number 397124 dates this pocket watch to 1869. Watch case is hallmarked AMWATCHCO.WALTHAMMASS. WARRANTED STERLINGSILVER E11. Watch case is in excellent condition shows little signs of wear free of dents some minor scratches. Inner dust cover has been removed at some point in time. This is the only fault I can find with this beautiful time capsule. The dial is marked American Watch Co. it is in perfect condition. Thick glass watch crystal also shows little wear some minor scratches. The 11 jewel model 1857 P.S. Bartlett key wind key set gilt movement has beautiful engraved detail. Balance wheel has brisk motion it is running strong. Original size number 4 watch key is included. It is difficult to find a vintage pocket watch in better condition. It is not perfect it does show some minor wear that I consider normal patina for a pocket watch that is over 147 years old.
