Set of two (2) Victorian Coffee and Tea pots marked with a patent date of Oct, 1872 by Meriden B. Silver Plate Company and stamped 1887. The larger Coffee Pot is stamped 6 and the smaller tea pot is stamped 5.
Pattern/Finish: The set is in one of the Mask Patterns so popular during the 1870\'s. Both pieces feature the feet in the form of the faces of the Bearded Man and the head of a Victorian woman on the handle. The silver plate is in both the traditional silver finish and the Butler Finish which was used to replicate years of polishing by a butler, giving it a softer silver plate finish. Both pots look exactly the same...one is just smaller than the other.

Condition: The small tippy-top of the coffee pot is missing (see photos with pencil pointer; also compare the pictures of the two post so you can see what is missing) Otherwise, no repairs or dents. There are no monograms
History: These have been in my family for 100+ years. I have given them several polishes with silver polish as they were very tarnished. They could certainly use more polishing for sure.
