Wonder! Extremely rare and extremely unusual
1880\'s - 1900\'s German Baby Metal Head - Metal or Tin or Brass Shoulder Head Doll, a sleep eye version, 16\" tall,
features tin/metal or brass painted shoulder head with sleep eyes oncloth body & porcelain arms below elbows and legs below knees.
Unusually unmarked, attributed mostlikely to Alfred Heller, late 1800\'s very early 1900\'s.
Offered doll only, with no outfit or stand.
Sorry, all photos show something at the left hand porcelain leg - didn\'t notice tiny piece of rubber, this was removed and the leg is absolutely clean.
Condition: AS PICTURED . Sleepy eyes are not clouded, opens and close as they should be...
some paint loos, scuffs... tin/metal/brass shoulder head attached to the cloth body very loosely and could be fixed, porcelain parts show some expected glazing and tiny points-nicks to the tips of fingers, pic.10. Porcelain legs are not damaged. Cloth body is sewn mostly, by hands, some inaccurate stitching at the connections between shoulders and arms. Some dusting at the head, we didt do attempts to clean it in a reason not to damage paint.
