Newly discovered travelling crazy quilt from Eastern Tennessee circa 1880\'s with greatembroidering. This quilt is on the larger size being 72 x 80\". Mostly made of silk fabrics and a silk backing with some velvet that may be silk as well. Adorned with fine handstitchedembroidering that includes very detailedfloral, animals such as cat ,mouse , butterflies, bees , birds , fan shape, geometric patterns and signatures,this is one very well made quilt that had a lot of travelling in it\'s day for family and close friends to contribute.
Very low buy it now pricing more than 50% belowappraised value.
Condition is good with some silk weak but intact as would be expected. Back has protective cover of cotton whip stitched for preservation.
