A large 4 x 6 in. American tintype photograph in original period frame , photo and frame c. 1880 and depicting a large family group with women, men and children along side their horse drawn wagons and carriages stopping for what appears to be a plein air picnic; some figures eating or drinking - all well dressed so very probably on a Sunday. And by appearances alone in this no ID photo the location appears to be somewhere in the West or Midwest. An overall charming image in near fine condition behind original glazing.
