Here\'s an authentic antique 120 year old solid brass JEWEL skater\'s lantern or child\'s kerosene lamp with beautiful amethyst glass globe, brass tank, brass burner, brass vented screw on top with its original heavy brass carrying handle

7\"tall (10 3/4\"to top of handle).....original brass tank with brass burner which is vented around top edge; tin bottom.....Burner is in good condition; it has a couple tiny splits on the top outer edge of threads but glass globe screws on fine

Amethyst glass globe is the actual permanent purple color of the glass itself; not stained or flashed. It has a number 5 emb on side.....4\"tall.... Excellent shiny nice condition with only one small chip on bottom ground edge. Both threaded openings are ground. Nice and clean with no haze.

The brass screw on top is emb JEWEL on very top...it isvented and has its original carrying handle. There is a split on the threads. It screws on just fine, but you cant screw it on too tight...

This wonderful antique skater\'s lantern was probably used by some kid or adult on night trips to the outhouse! Many young people would go ice skating in the winter, often in the evening, so a \"skater\'s lantern\" like this would have been vital to finding their way back home. FREE POSTAGE ALWAYS
