this is a huge, heavy original and rare photo album of the Chicago 1893 Columbian Exposition World Fair - the White City ~ it was put together by a German-language individual and is stamped in gilt on the cover: \"I. Amerika Reise, 1893\" [America Travel] ~ it contains 35 photographs, and all measure approximately 9\" x 12\" (or slightly larger); 6 of the photographs are signed in the negative by C.D. Arnold, the other 29 photographs are not signed and may be original, one-of-a-kind images taken by the German photographer (a postulation on my part) ~ I am able to show 24 photographs with this listing ~ the entire album measures 16-1/4\" x 12-3/4\" x 1-1/2\", and weighs 10 pounds before adding anything for shipping ~ a wonderful piece of history and would be a great addition to anyone\'s World Fair collection ~ all photos are securely glued-down onto heavy, gilded edge grayish cardboard pages~ some photos have vertical shadows or a yellowish spot and these effects were caused by the lighting and shadows from my hand using my iPhone to snap the pictures

~ in VERY GOOD condition, except that 28 photographs show various forms of either being faded or not being crisp images; some of the images have several surface scratches, indentations; several of the album pages are blank and never had any images; all of the cardboard pages have foxing at the perimeter; album front and back covers have several huge scratches and are scuffed along edges and corners; very tight and secure binding; please feel free to write with any questions you may havePlease note: NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING FOR THIS ITEM
