In this text Turner discusses varying aspects of the Bible. These include canonical scriptures, figurative language, punctuation and the alleged missing books as well as writing in detail aboutboth the Old and New Testaments.

William Turner was a Unitarian minister. He played a large role in the anti-slavery movement inthe North of England. Hewrote several religious works and sermons inhis lifetime.

In a full cloth binding with gilt stamping to spine. Externally, lovely with slight bumping to head and tail of spine.London publisher\'s details have beenpasted over the American: New York, Thomas Whittaker.Internally, generally firmly bound though strained in places. The odd spot throughout. Overall: NEAR FINE.
