Offered for sale is a cast iron \"Maine\" battleship still bank, manufactured by the Grey Iron Casting Co. circa 1900. This example is the smaller of two versions produced, and measures 4 1/2\" long x 4 5/8\" high, It is in excellent condition, retaining most all of its original japanned finish with gold highlights, and there are no breaks, cracks, repairs or other damage. The flat end of the turnpin does looks like it\'s been worked on/adjusted (perhaps because it loosened over time?), but it\'s difficult to see unless the bank is disassembled.
Thislittle bank is rated difficult to find, especially in this condition, andwould make a great addition to any collection.
