The back is beautifully engraved withwhat looks like a Greek godess with a lion in a temple.

The inner dust cover is engraved \"Meuron & Cie\", \"Aiguilles\", \"Entrappement a cylindre quatre trois en rubis\".

The watch is hallmarked for 18kgold. Meuron & Ciewas a Swiss watchmaker working in Neuchatel, Geneva and Paris between 1783 and 1810.
