18th/17th C Wood Plaque - Wood Block for Print Royal Scene Latin:

Fresh out of an early Maine estate collection.
18thc, or possibly much earlier 17thc or 16thc. Hand-carved wood plaque, appears to have been used for wood block printing as the Latin wording is reversed. Measures approximately 15 1/2\" x 9\" x 1\". Solid, some age cracks, as seen in photo. Majestic scene of some sort of royal procession. Latin on bottom right inverted, as seen in photo. Top wood is possibly ebony. Old collection number in red. Needs some research.
