This is an 18th Century Chinese porcelain punch bowl decorated in overglaze polychrome enamels and gilding.

On the inside rim is a gold and black hanging spear pattern border, a lovely floral spray with fruit to the inner floor.

On the outside is a scrolling gilt ground with beautifully-painted panels of people in conversation, playing board games and children holding birds and flowers.

Unusual borders to the panels of butterflies with large wings and artemesia leaves in iron red with gold and black coronet-style ties.

Yongzheng Period, 1723-1735.

Diameter 10 1/2\" (26.5 cm). Height 4 1/4\" (11 cm).

Tiny rim chip and three hairlines on the side.
