An Oval Persian Islamic Qajar Iznik Seca Pottery Jug Tile
Late 18th Century in date (1770-1790)
It measures 9.7 inches along it\'s longest axisand is 3/4 of an inch thick.
The colours have obviously dimmed with agebut it is remarkably sturdy for an example of this age.
As regards provenance, it was given to it\'s present owner(a Running Club friend of mine) in the mid 1960\'s beforethe fall of the Shah of Iran.
