The design of the piece is lovely, very primitive but hugely decorative. These forms of early candlesticks are getting very difficult to find and are very collectable. The detail on this example is lovely and the way it adjusts is perfect. It doesn\'t always hold in its adjusted position but most of the time it does. There is no losses or serious damage to this just a very slight lean that has developed from years of use. This example of American folk art is very nice quality and has a beautiful look. Could still be used today. The patina on the metal work is very nice and the size makes it ideal for any room.
