Recently, in the historical town of Bruges (West Belgium), I managed to acquire a first part of a private collection. This part of the collection containes mainly 19th century drawings (quite some English drawings and watercolors) and some 18th century sheets. All these drawings haven\'t been on the market for many years.The present drawing, executed in pencil on laid watermarked paper, depicts three figure studies (two portraits of historical figures and one study of hands).Authorship : the drawing is from the French Neoclassical School of the later part of the 18th century.Period : ca. 1790-1800.Size : 24,1x18,4cm (without support).Condition : Good.
