Up for your consideration is this beautiful Antique 18th Century Religious Icon Reverse painting of Saint Peter. This rarepainting is painting on the old wavy glass and has bubbles throughout. The painting is well done and shows Saint Peter with a rooster and two keys. I\'m guessing this could be Italian because it is signed S.Petrus. The inside dimension is 7\" by 9-1/4\" and the outside with the frame measures 9-1/2\" by 12\". The frame appears to be older and could be original. The back cardboard has been replaced and stabilized at one time. The frame appears to be original. I read that this is rare to see the rooster in the picture. There is a crack across the bottom and some paint missing, but still displays nicely and thedamage is not on the main part of the picture. To find this piece is probably rare. Just lovely. Make this one yours.
