1901 PAN-AMERICAN EXPOSITION BUFFALO NY SOUVENIR MEDAL FOB - PROSPERITY & PEACE:

This item is a souvenir fob or medal from the 1901 Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York, and it is fairly uncommon in that it appears to be silver-plated. The obverse design is patterned after the official Expo logo - showing the Americas. This side also has the year 1901 plus the name and city of this world\'s fair. The reverse side has a wreath near the rim enclosing the words TO UNITE THE AMERICAS IN BONDS OF PROSPERITY AND PEACE. The name of the manufacturer (Whitehead & Hoag) is found at the bottom rim. This item is composed of an unidentified silver-toned metal (silver-plated brass?), and it has toned to a very nice silver/gray color. This item has a loop for use as a pendant or fob. It measures approximately 32 mm (1-1/4\") in diameter without the loop.

This item is in very good to fine condition, with light wear and light signs of handling.
