Absolutely genuine and beautiful photograph of Downtown New York City during the construction of the Subway around 1901-02. I am not familiar with the city but I can see the old Cone shaped building \"The Tombs\" in the distance. The building in the front is being built during the time this photo was taken and it is the famous \"New Hall of Records\" or otherwise called the \"Surrogates Courthouse\" at 31 Chambers Street. There are Trolley Cars, people, carraiges, billboards, posters etc all visible in here! There is even the number \"8228\" visible on the front of the Trolley Car! AMAZING photo.
