1904 Russian Orthodox Icon Print Miraculous Image of Our Lady Tuchow Framed RARE:

This item is a true beauty. Antique Russian Orthodox style framed original print dating from 1904 with a lovely soft rendition of the Virgin Mary holding the Christ. The artwork is stunning- a very haunting Virgin Mary; the face full of stoic innocence and grace, holding Jesus, the child that would change the world. The writing on the bottom is in Polish. It reads: \"Cudowny Obraz Matki Boskiej W Tuchowie, Koronowany 2. Pazdziernika 1904\" which translates to: \"The Miraculous Image of Our Lady inTuchów\". The original work is located at the Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Tuchów Poland. The entire piece is about 24\" in height and 16 3/4\" across. The gold frame is wonderfully ornate with typical wear for the age of the piece. It has the original sticker on the back from when it was purchased in 1913. Very rare estate find.
