1904 original poster was used in the winning campaign of Republicans Theodore Roosevelt of New York and Charles W. Fairbanks of Indiana for the offices of President and Vice-President of the United States. This was the first run for a full term as President for Roosevelt and the only election for Fairbanks as Vice-president. The paper poster was matted in a wooden frame with a glass front. It is wired on the back for hanging. The outside dimensions of the frame are 22-1/2\" X 18-1/2\". Though edge-worn and spotted, the brown-tone pictures of the candidates were by C. V Buck according to a mark on the bottom right of the poster. There is a second mark on the bottom left which appears to be a copyright mark (not as clear). The blues in the American Flag and the eagle with spread wings are clear. The poster may be viewed by arrangement in Decatur, Illinois.
