MINIATURE SILVER FRONTED ROYAL BIJOU BIRTHDAY BOOK.

This is a very rare and unusual miniature silver fronted book.

It depicts a scene outside an inn, with a group of men, women and children all enjoying a drink.

The date letter \'f \' which is for 1905

Lion Passant for Solid Silver

An Anchor, the mark of the Birmingham Assay Office

The letters \'L & S\', the mark of the silversmiths Levi & Salaman.

The book is bound inblack grainedleather. It measures 2.25\" x 2\" (55mm x 49mm), andweighs 34g.unpacked. There are377 pages, and the book is complete. The titles on the spine are clear and bright.

Inside is page for every day of the year to record birthdays, with a quotation opposite, which are from many poets, including Tennyson, Shakespeare, Wordsworth, Burns, Scott, Byron and more.

It is in excellent condition, with no splits or damage to the silver front. The book is tightly bound, with no loose or missing pages. the page are immaculate, with entries on just a few dates. The page edges are gilded and lay flat in the binding.

An extremely clean and undamaged book. Very rare.
