DESCRIPTION

\'Le Morte D\'Arthur\' is a collection of tales from the legends of King Arthur. It was written by Thomas Malory in the fifteenth century, and has remained one of the foremost piece of literature about Arthurian legends ever since. \'Le Morte D\'Arthur\' tells of the life of King Arthur, from his birth from Uther Pendragon and Igraine, about the event with the sword in the stone, about his relationship with Merlin, to his death.

Malory was a knight and Member of Parliament, though it is hard to properly identify him, and scholars have come up with multiple people who Malory could be. It\'s been debated that Malory wrote \'Le Morte D\'Arthur\' as a social commentary, looking at the idyllic past, and the utopia collapsing into contemporary politics.
