NOTE- This was listed under my normal selling user ID born-again, but I was offered a deal on selling on this user ID so I\'m able to sell it at a lower price. Thanks, Christopher J. Wood

This is an absolutely gorgeous folk art scene in a bottle signed\"Carl Worner\" This was all built through the neck of the bottle likely sometime between 1908 & 1915 (explained below).

Worner scenes are desirable & valuable pieces, one having recently sold on April 29th for $3600 ($3000 + $600buyer\'s premium) at Slotin folk art sale (see result by going to livesaleeers.com & searching this phrase in thesold items \"carl worner louis bottle\", must be logged in to see price). [If you were high buyeron this Slotin bottle, pleasemessage me as I haveinformation both aboutLouis whoit was made for &a piececonnected to Louis that should be put with the bottle.]My bottle is of a type much more scarce, ashis saloon bottles featuring women patrons were made in much smaller numbers than the typical saloonscene as in that bottle,I\'d say less than 1 in 10, probably closer to 1 in15 have female patrons. This particular lady has a very fine hat with paper feathers atop it.Thus, my price isvery reasonable.

To me, the best thing about this bottleis the amazing original bright pastelcolors. These colors have retainedamazingly exuberant after more than 100 years! The greens & yellows & pinks are just stunningly eye catching, making this very bright &colorful.It\'s a stunner! It measures 11 & 3/8\" tall (counting stopper)X 3.5\" wide.

The bottle features 5 people: the bartender, the lady, one man facing forward, one in profile. The woman is seated at a table with a bottle in front of her & is wearing a colorful dress. There are two trees in front & there are two more trees on the bar. In back behind the bartender is a sign reading UNION CIGARS HAVANA 100 (presumable $1.00 a box). On the bottom section is a sun decoration. On top is a SALOON sign & diamond pediments. There is a paper backing behind the bar & the back is made in a built up fashion, mostly from cigar box wood. It is signed on the back, \"Carl Worner\" in cursive.Sealing off the sceneis a stopper shaft with a woodenlocking pin called a crossbargoing through the bottom &you can see a nail which seems to have been pushed through the shaft & the crossbar & out the other side & bent down over it, making it seem impossible to be in there or to get out. In the bottom is the 5th man in the privy. He can only be seen at certain angles & taking a photo of him is hard to do. You can\'t see his pants & torso at the same time so I had to show it in different pics. All in all, this isa magnificent specimen.

CONDITION- Fabulous condition, no damage, no issues, gorgeous! Of course, the bottle has a few very minor abrasions on the outside, as any 100+ year old bottle usually does. Nothing obstructs the view of this wonderful scene. This lookseven better in natural light inperson rather than these bright flash photos. [Click on enlargements for clear views of high resolution images, as scrunches them.]

DATING EXPLANATION- The dates given arebased on datingthe bottleby diagnostic characteristics &most bottles being used around the time that the bottles were emptied. This bottle was machine blown & has the suction marks on the bottom from an automatic bottling machine, has a narrow neck, & does not have volume information on the bottle, placing it within the range I gave.

SHIPPING BOTTLE WHIMSIES- We pack very well & ship within 1 business day barring emergencies. This will be sent fully insured, which costs $40 with shipping. I \"believe\" this bottle should survive shipping but antique bottles whimsies were never made with shipping in mind so be aware that the safest thing is always to pick them up in person. I use a network of dealers or friends or acquaintances to pick up the Worner bottles I buy so I never have them shipped. If you want to do that, pay & I will return the shipping once it is picked up if done in a reasonable amount of time.I will work with you & we can find someone doing a show or coordinate somehow as we travel all over or people we know do(for example we know a person coming to Daytona Beach, FL at the first of July) & can probably find friends going all over. However,I \"think\" this one will survive shipping. Regardless, it will be fully insured but the responsibility lies with the shipping service once shipped though I will help with any possible claim. Hopefully that won\'t be an issue. If you want special shipping, faster or a different service, buy it but don\'t pay until you write me.

RETURNS-To protect ourselves from those who have abused us through buyer\'s remorse & false claims, we do not allow returns. We describe our items thoroughly & offer many photos. You can ask any question or for more photos during the listing BEFORE buying & we will providewhatever you need,so there should be no reason for a return. We fully guarantee our items to be as described, as does the buyer protection program so you are protected also. What you see is what you will get. If you are a serious buyer & no returns is an issue that keeps you from buying anything I list, write us & we can discusspossibly adding returns for you specifically. However, you can buy with confidence as we, Chris & Holly Wood of Scottsville, KYhave been selling antiques & collectibles for20 years, with some clients having spent over $200,000 buying from us.If you read & look thoroughly, you will get what you expect & hopefully you will be pleased. Regardless, \'s Money Back Guarantee makes sure you don\'t receive anything that is not as described or photographed, just in case we make a mistake, so offer or buy with confidence. However, it is very unlikely any mistake would be made with this listing as I am an expert in this field.

Payment- Payment required in 3 days. Contact me BEFORE buying if you need longer. Pickup available after payment received but PayPal must be notified by phone at that time if paying by PP & picking up. Contact seller for additional payment options if choosing: Pay On Pickup (stated as per regulations). informed me that no discount can be offered by me here for one payment over another, as I had previously done, sorry. If paid by PP, there\'s still PP fees for me to pay, but I have included to cover them. However, if you have any related special requests about other payment options, pleasemessage & askBEFORE paying or include it in your offer terms note & I will do my best for you.

NOTE- Bottle whimsey is often spelled bottle whimsy & bottle whimsies is also spelled bottle whimseys for some reason & often reversed to whimsy bottles & whimsey bottles or just called folk art in bottles.
