At 9 1/2\" this is a significant find. Eggshell porcelain with raised gold embellishments as only the Royal Crown Derby company produced. In virtually \'mint\' condition - no chips, cracks, repairs, etc. this is a \'must have\'.
It has many of the bells and whistles Royal Crown Derby collectors seek. Such as marvelous gilding, raised roses and scrolls, amazing background color in a deep, dark, slick lipstick red, melon-lobed body, a pedestal foot, and its 9 1/2\" size (quite large for Royal Crown Derby items which tend to be small).
The date cypher on the bottom by the hallmark indicates it was made in 1909.
