1909 Burlington Special Illinois Vintage 19J Railroad Pocket Watch, Fix or Parts:

This is avintage men\'sBurlington Special(16 size Illinois)19 Jewel (Grade 185) pocket watch. It starts running when wound, but does not keep time or run all day. It does run in all positions, so the balance is good, and it may just need to be serviced. Thehands set correctly when the lever is pulled. The movement hassome small dark corrosion marks on some steel parts. There are sometiny scratches and dings on the movement, too.

The case isa25-Year Gold Filled. It is in very bad condition, with dents and brass showing. The front lid usually latches shut, but sometimes it springs open. There is a deep dent on the lower back, near the hinge. Thefront bezel is bent between 6 and 7. The rear bezel has some scratches and wear; this used to have a clear movement cover, but the crystal for that is missing.

The front crystallooks good, with a little extra glue around the edge.

The dial has a few this scratches, but no chips or obvious cracks; it really looks nice. The hands are shiny plum color, with a fewtiny rust spots.

The windingcrown is too big.

The bow has brass showing.
