For sale is a vintage 1909 I.W. Harper Whiskey sign, made by Vitrolite Company.
I.W. Harper Whiskey company lent these signs to its retailers and only a very limited amount were made by the company.
Sign is about 27x16 inches.
The sign is constructed of white sheet milk glass, with a decal over the top that give the illusion that it is a painting.
This was made before prohibition. Who ever had it rather than throwing it out scratched of the I W Harper logo off the plaque on the wall in the picture towards the top left, and off the whiskey flask sitting on the bench. Rather than throw out a very nice hunting cabin scene they scratched the whiskey logos off.
