5 Day sale ends SaturdayJUST IN TIME FOR Christmas !I am not an expert on everything that I sell but I try to do enough research to know what I am selling ! There are several sites on the internet that one can learn about these Beer Steins and I spent a few hours to determine that the 2 I am selling are AUTHENTIC and not the reproductions that were made to look like these
I purchased both of these at the same Estate Sale and they are both period without the naked lady lithophane or the tell tale bump on the inside of the handle I have the other one for sale in my next sale listing
This sale is for the
AUTHENTIC ORIGINAL VINTAGE ANTIQUEGERMAN REGIMENTAL BEER STEINregiment 115
This needs a good cleaning but there are NO chips nicks cracks or major unexpected issues for a stein OVER 100 years of age
This one features a German soldier with canteen on the top of the Pewter tankard lid - and a Rampant Lion with Shield as the thumb rest !To the top of the lid measures almost 12.1/4\" tall - the lid hasreliefof military crossed gunsshieldsbusts and at the base of the pewter lid reads HOCH LEBE DER RESERVEMANN
Opening the lid reveals the LITHOPHANE Bottom of the lady and the man as pictured - EACH side of the handle is listed all of the troop that served
The base has the name Gardilf Kinkel and his name is also on the side
The very center features a Wreath with ??? Kaiser ??? flanked by one shooting soldier and one welcoming Soldier - there are 4 Flags each with the hand applied painted accent dots - on the left it looks as if soldiers are waiting to fire and on the right soldiersat camp with a fire relaxing - in the background you can see a large city with a tall monumentAll of the detail in the Buttons and the Crown - Cuffs on the sleeves are hand painted applied

I bet you know more about this German Beer Stein than I doI am just trying to be correct and exact in my description
I am starting this Stein and my other one now listed AT more than 1/2 less than the value that I think it will sell for as I know is an sale site NOT a retail store -I purchased these at an Estate Sale so I can sell them for more than I paid so I can make a profit and pay my bills as being an antiquedealerFULL TIME is all I have done for over the past 20 years
