This is a wonderful older evening bag with a fabulous solid German silver frame/clasp. Photo 7 shows where the metal is officially marked as German silver. The bag dates back as far as 1910 through the early 1920s. It presents in very good condition whereby the frame and clasp look excellent, and the velvet also looks very good. The stitching of the lining is fully intact, but the lining has discoloration from age and staining. Since the only damage is inside, it is very functional in that it could certainly be worn and carried; just as it would display beautifully amongst collectibles. The original chain is present with a strap drop of 5 and a 1/4 in, and the bag measures 6 in long by 7 and a 1/2 in wide. This truly is a charming piece with all the style and grace of times long ago past.
