Glittering, antique Art Nouveau DRAGONFLY sash pin or brooch, or millinery buckle, scarce bronze gold finish to the cut steel \"jewels\" all set in a sturdy frame. LArge size, and the wings can bend and move and so give a 3 dimensional quality to the brooch. Found on an antique 1900s hat, removed and saved for many years, and in good condition. Measures 2 7/8\" by 2 1/8\". Very hard to find this color in a cut steel buckle or ornament, and this one is such a charming one, a beautiful dragonfly!

These make wonderful embellishments for a dress, millinery adornments for a hat, or for jewelry to make beautiful choker necklaces, brooches, or bracelets. Genuine antique, circa 1900 to 1912.

Marked \"France\" in back, but is under the \"new\" pinback someone added many years ago... I show a photo of the back so you can see the construction of these...you can see the tiny \"jewels\", each individually hand set into the metal frame. This is not flimsy \"stamped\" metal. It is quite weighty. Very good condition, some mild age, but still beautiful. See below for details. Will be shipped well packed and boxed. .

CONDITION is overall, quite good....not quite as glittery as it was 100 years ago, but still has good shimmer in the light...with some tiny areas that are bit dull, but no rust ........I did not polish these as some collectors like them with the aged patina......No soiling or odors.....Still a great find for the collector...can certainly be worn, sturdy...backing is complete.....glued on pin is newer and works fine...buckle is not warped, and can bend slightly to adapt to the curve ....one the right side, a few of the tiny steel \"jewels\" gone missing, and there is a tiny break in the smaller wing...but you really don\'t notice this...........PLEASE see the photos.
