It is the ORIGINAL REILLY & BRITTON, J.R. NEILL COLOR ILLUSTRATED Version, VERY NICE FIRST EDITION in This Format of Both Helen Bannerman\'s LITTLE BLACK SAMBO & Beatrix Potter\'s PETER RABBIT paired for the FIRST TIME in this Great TURNOVER BOOK -- Illustrated by WIZARD of OZ sequel Illustrator J. R. NEILL, done in somewhat larger format than the 1908 Red Book Series. This issue is notorious for wearing badly, yet this example is in Very Nice Condition, with just a few very small dings to the covers, very little tip wear, Spine slightly faded.
Complete Undamaged Interior with No Names, Marks or Damage, Quite Clean overall, with some light finger dusting on some of the preliminaries of each story. Adapted from Reilly & Britton\'s Children\'s Stories That Never Grow Old Series, half of the book contains Sambo and the flip side of the book has Peter Rabbit, both with Own Covers, title pages & copyrights. Again, Illustrated by J.R. NEILL with Color Pictorial Covers and 16 full page color Illustrations and a few smaller color Illustrations for both stories. Neill\'s illustrations for Sambo are particularly scary. TRUE FIRST EDITION, NICE give a General Description & list all known defects.
