Very rare and original, 1910\'s Native American Sioux Indian Bead Decorated Hide Doll. This outstanding early 20th century Sioux Beaded Doll measures approx. 14\" tall and 4 1/2\" at its widest.
This wonderful Sioux Indian Doll is thread and sinew sewn and features beadwork decoration in colors of dark blue, pea green, medium blue, red, greasy yellow and white beads. She wears fringed, hide leggings, bead decorated moccasins and a fringed hide tunic. Her black hair is made of horsehair and is decorated with original fabric ties. The Doll came with an old collection tag that reads \"Plains Indian / Denver Colo, 1920 / Rare / Collected by Frances\". The Doll came to us from the collection of john Woodall.

It is NOT a reproduction or modern recreation but an original Sioux Bead Decorated Hide Doll crafted in the early part of the 20th century. This very rare and wonderful, 1910\'s Sioux Indian Bead Decorated Doll is in very good condition. All of the hide elements are well preserved and sound with some surface soiling as can be seen in the scans below but no damage or repairs of any kind. The beadwork is spot stitched, beautiful and very well preserved with no loss, damage or repairs. All elements of the Doll are original and there has been no repairs or restorations.
