This is a great condition 1915 single saddle blanket measuring 35.5 inches wide and 24.5 inches long. It was woven in the Crystal area of the Navajo Nation. This weaving is in great condition for its age. The weaving has a weft to warp count of 16 to 6. It was woven of nice hand spun Churro wool both weft and warp. The colors in the blanket are brown/black, a old red dyed on grey wool and grey. The selvage cords are in great shape with no breaks and no repairs. There is no moth damage, no dye bleed, sold old repairs and a few broken warps. The rug is clean now with a few light stains. It can be used and displays very well just the way it is. All corners are in the best of shape with with all four tassel intact one looks to be restored to me. Old saddle blankets like this are very collectible and hard to come by. Look for other weavings of this style and age. Both sides of this rug are pictured above. This blanket is Guaranteed to be Navajo and in the condition described. See pictures.
